Transparency and accountability are key values for the Council, and all income, spending, and financial decisions are open for anyone to inspect, unless there is an overriding reason otherwise (e.g. commercial sensitivity).

The Council is primarily funded through its precept – a portion of residents’ council tax bill. We also receive income from our commercial activities (such as hall and pitch hire), contributions from developers towards infrastructure, and through grants and donations for specific projects.
